Samsung and Paytm Partner to Revolutionize Ticket Booking with Integrated Wallet Services

Samsung revealed a collaboration with One97 Communications, Paytm's parent enterprise, on Thursday to streamline the ticket booking experience. As part of this synergistic effort between the South Korean technology powerhouse and the Indian financial services firm, Samsung Wallet will enable ticket bookings for flights, movies, events, and more through Paytm. Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can add tickets purchased outside of the platform to the Wallet app.

In a blog post, Samsung explained that Paytm services will be integrated into the Samsung Wallet app. Consequently, users can now buy tickets for flights, movies, shows, and events directly through Samsung Wallet. A new 'Add to Samsung Wallet' function has also been introduced, allowing users to upload existing tickets to the app.

These services are accessible for Samsung Galaxy smartphone users and can be utilized by updating the Wallet app. Specifically, flight and movie tickets can be booked via Paytm, while the Paytm Insider app facilitates event and show tickets. The company also mentioned planned discounts of up to Rs. 1,150 on first-time bookings through these newly introduced services.

Beyond the Paytm partnership, Samsung Wallet will also launch a Referral Programme. Users can earn a gift card valued at Rs. 100 for each successful referral registration, capped at Rs. 300. Additionally, a Samsung Wallet tap-and-pay offer will soon be announced. Users will receive an Amazon gift card worth Rs. 250 after completing four tap-and-pay transactions, as stated by the company.
