The recent developments surrounding Sony Interactive Entertainment have raised concerns, particularly regarding their ambitious projects. Following the disappointing outcome of Concord, the company has experienced a series of setbacks, including the shutdown of two live-service games. Furthermore, it appears that yet another significant title has met a similar fate, specifically the anticipated Horizon MMO.
According to reports, this game has been in collaboration with NCSoft, and it was the South Korean outlet MTN that indicated the project has been halted. The cancellations reportedly include Projects Pantera, H, and J at NCSoft, with the Horizon MMO identified as Project H.
Currently, there has not been any formal confirmation from Sony regarding these developments. Nonetheless, the information suggests that Project H was terminated earlier this year, with its development team reassigned to other initiatives.
It is important to differentiate that Project H is not the Horizon Online title that is currently under development by Guerrilla Games. That particular project appears to be progressing well and is expected to launch within the year, based on current speculation.
